Wedding season is once again upon us and I confess that I'm terrible about posting wedding photos. Why? Many reasons, but mostly because after a wedding, I hand my memory card to Kim, who has to wade through a zillion wedding images while I go home to drink a cup of hot tea with my husband. So I don't always get a copy of the weddings, and then I don't always wade through Kim's edit, and then I don't always post them to my blog. Lazy, aren't I? And spoiled. I get to just shoot and have fun at weddings, without editing, making albums or phone calls, sweating over equipment. I usually hang out with the grooms and groomsmen (who are usually the most relaxed of all the wedding party), take the fun candid photos while Kim has to do all the group shots, and then I just go home and never have to think about them again. Can you believe I get PAID to do this?
Anyway, here was one of the sweetest couples ever. He's an artist, and I'm so excited that he's going to be making one for our house - that's right, we're graduating to real, one-of-a-kind original art pieces...I may have to take down my large Ansel Adams print I bought off the street corner in college. You can check out his stuff here. And their wedding was as sweet as they were - up in the mountains, and then they had the reception at their very cool house. And get this, they had a place card for me! Well, it said, "Kim's assistant," but still - close enough! And they had a favor for me. Who does that - sets a place for their photographer's assistant!?! Congrats and thank you for your extreme thoughtfulness!
